Leadership
Leading clients and fellow artists through nearly 100 projects in more three decades, I have used my leadership skills to help clients grow fruitful enriching projects and institutions.
These include:
A city wide tourism plan for Bologne, France
A two year Shakespeare production that engaged the towns and villages across the Ards Peninsula, Ireland, involved seven art forms and delivered 12 Irish peace objectives.
The direction of more than 65 theatrical productions
The transformation of two theatrical venues
The founding and development of four theatre companies on two continents, including the creation of the only purpose built intercultural theatre company on the island of Ireland.
Creativity
With over three decades of creative exploration behind me, I have used my intercultural perspective to help clients meet creative challenges and inject inspiration into their worlds in a multiplicity of ways.
These include:
Shaping the instinctive flow of people through large urban spaces, including the Science Museum London and the Southbank London for Southwark Borough Council.
The expression of the feelings and experiences of female trauma survivors from different sides of the Northern Irish conflict in cartoons.
Guiding thousands of artists and citizens to conceive, create, and experience a two year site specific Shakespeare in the warehouse that built the Titanic for the city of Belfast for the Shakespeare400 global celebrations.
Writing then staging a play and film encapsulating the contested ‘remembering of the 100th anniversary of the violent creation of Northern Ireland’ for Belfast City Council.
